Rene Recover was born from a personal journey through motherhood, recovery, and a desire for better options.

Athlete

A week after running the Boston Marathon, I found out I was pregnant with my second child. A baby girl.

Suddenly, all the training plans, long runs, and workout goals felt a little less important because my body had a new job, growing my daughter.

I still worked out during pregnancy, but it looked different. Slower. Softer. Less focused on performance and more focused on supporting my body through motherhood.

THE STRUGGLE

After my C-section, I was determined to start training for my next marathon as soon as possible. But postpartum recovery had other plans.

My daughter nursed all night. She hated when I left the room. And during the small moments I did have to myself, my older son needed his mom too.

Was I squeezing in runs and workouts? Yes, but my body wasn't recovering. I was exhausted.

I started searching for a recovery product that felt safe and thoughtful for breastfeeding mothers, and I kept running into the same problem: every option seemed to contain ingredients I wasn't comfortable taking while nursing.

THE idea

After deferring my second Boston Marathon to the following year, my husband and I decided to stop searching and start creating.

We wanted a recovery product with intentional ingredients, purposeful amounts, and nothing unnecessary; something designed to support active women navigating motherhood, recovery, and rebuilding strength.

After countless taste tests, revisions, setbacks, and research, we began working alongside professionals to thoughtfully develop what would eventually become Rene Recover.

REBUILDING WITH INTENTION

Rene was created for women who still want to feel strong, athletic, and capable while also being deeply mindful of what they're putting into their bodies during motherhood and breastfeeding.

This brand was born from rebuilding;

and I have a feeling I'm not the only woman searching for that version of herself again.
